(Joshua 6:1-20)

  • Joshua was Moses' apprentice.  He followed Moses and he learnt how to be a leader and how to love and serve God well.

  • God gave Joshua some very strange instructions.  He simply told them to walk around the walls.  Why do you think the people did what Joshua told them to do?

  • All the way through the book of Joshua you can see the words 'Do not be afraid'.  Lots and lots of times!  Can you think of a time when you felt afraid?  What did you do?  Who helped you?  Make sure the grownups share too!

  • This is this week's Memory Verse (one of my favourite verses in the Bible):

'Do not be afraid, or discouraged, for the Lord, your God is with you wherever you go.' (Joshua 1:9)

  • Try to come up for actions for each part of the Bible verse so you can remember it.  Keep reminding yourself this week that God is with you.

Every giant will fall
